The top priorities for business owners are to cut costs and to ensure the stable performance of applications they offer to customers. In this success story, the solution to achieve those two values was cloud computing.

Our client dealt with usage spikes and struggled with unreliable in-house infrastructure.

What is more, the infrastructure was not extended enough to meet the demands.

In addition, the in-house team that handled the infrastructure generated high costs – disproportionate to the overall poor performance. They needed technical guidance and cutting-edge solutions to optimize the stack.

The nail to the coffin was a security risk, caused by the lack of updates.

With our client, we decided the best course of action is to migrate the application to the cloud. It opened up great opportunities for the client’s business, like auto-scalability, cost reduction, and resistance to high servers’ loads.

The first task was to decompose the client’s application. As a result, we had a few applications, ready to be migrated to the cloud.

To achieve the greatest flexibility, as well as the best environment for development, we decided on Platform as a Service. Cloud Foundry PaaS on AWS hosting was a perfect choice for this client.

The last steps were to configure the new environment – for example, to make it possible to deploy many times a day. Of course, during the whole project, we kept testing our solutions, to ensure there are no hidden bugs or any problems.
